• 【Eligibility】
  KANSAI HOKURIKU AREA PASS is a special train ticket that can only be purchased by a foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad for sight-seeing, under the entry status of "temporary visitor.".
  If you are unable to turn in your Exchange Order for a pass because you fail to meet the exchange conditions, you will not be eligible to receive any compensation from the JR Group for use of JR lines during your stay in Japan.
  
  "Temporary Visitor" entry status, according to Japanese Immigration Law, allows a stay in Japan of 15 days or 90 days for "sight-seeing, etc." If you apply for a "stay for sight-seeing" when you enter Japan, entry personnel will stamp your passport as "Temporary Visitor". Only people who have a passport bearing this stamp can use a KANSAI HOKURIKU AREA PASS.
• 【Exchange】
  The name on the exchange voucher needs to be exactly the same as the name in your passport.
  　
  When exchanging the voucher you would need to present your passport along with proper documentation in order to prove your eligibility.
  The activation date of the pass, once the pass has been exchanged, can no longer be changed.

• 【Validity】
  This rail pass is valid for the following:
  ・Reserved seats on Bullet Train "SANYO SHINKANSEN" (Shin-Osaka⇔Okayama)(The pass can be used for the Hello Kitty Shinkansen.)
  ・Reserved seats on Bullet Train "HOKURIKU SHINKANSEN" (Tsuruga⇔Joetsu-Myoko)
  ・Reserved seats on Limited Express Trains.HARUKA, THUNDERBIRD,KONOTORI, etc.(A separate fare is required for traveling on SUPER HAKUTO (Kamigori⇔Tottori) and SUPER INABA (Kamigori⇔Tottori))
• (For reserved seating, ensure you book your seats before boarding the train.)
  ・Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines
  ・The pass is only valid on WEST JAPAN JR BUS route buses within the valid area. The pass cannot be used on expressway buses.
  ・The IR Ishikawa Railway Line between Kanazawa and Tsubata. However, travel must be conducted on local or limited express trains and must encompass the full segment between these two stations. Travel is not covered if you disembark at any station on the IR Ishikawa Railway line, within or outside the segment (excluding Kanazawa or Tsubata).
  ・The Ainokaze Toyama Railway Line between Toyama and Takaoka. However, travel must be conducted on local trains and must encompass the full segment between these two stations. Travel is not covered if you disembark at any station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway line, within or outside the segment (excluding Toyama or Takaoka).
  ・The Hapi-Line Fukui between Echizen-Hanandō and Fukui. However, travel must be conducted only on local trains and only between these two stations (Echizen-Hanandō or Fukui). Travel is not covered if you extend beyond these two stations on the Hapi-Line Fukui.
  It is a personal pass meant for only one person. Always carry your passport along with the Pass. The station staff may check the passport for validity.
• 【Booking】
  With the Pass, no additional fee is required when reserving seats.(Travelers wishing to use a Green Car must pay the limited express fare in addition to the Green class surcharge.)Please make sure to receive a reserved seat ticket before boarding. (Seat reservation cannot be made on the train.)
  To access the platforms, show your pass and/or your ticket to the JR staff located at the gate to the platform.
  To reserve a seat, go to see the agents at the JR ticket office in Japan.
