• 【Eligibility】
  Hokuriku Arch PASS is a special train ticket that can only be purchased by a foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad for sight-seeing, under the entry status of "temporary visitor.".
  If you are unable to turn in your Exchange Order for a pass because you fail to meet the exchange conditions, you will not be eligible to receive any compensation from the JR Group for use of JR lines during your stay in Japan.
  
  "Temporary Visitor" entry status, according to Japanese Immigration Law, allows a stay in Japan of 15 days or 90 days for "sight-seeing, etc." If you apply for a "stay for sight-seeing" when you enter Japan, entry personnel will stamp your passport as "Temporary Visitor". Only people who have a passport bearing this stamp can use a Hokuriku Arch PASS.
• 【Exchange】
  The name on the exchange voucher needs to be exactly the same as the name in your passport.
  　
  When exchanging the voucher you would need to present your passport along with proper documentation in order to prove your eligibility.
  The activation date of the pass, once the pass has been exchanged, can no longer be changed.

  This pass is valid for --
  ・JR EAST Lines
  ・JR West Line
  ・Tokyo Monorail
  ・IR Ishikawa Railway(IR Ishikawa Railway is only available when passing through the section between Kanazawa Station and Tsubata Station (you can also use limited express trains))​​
  ・Ainokaze Toyama Railway(Ainokaze Toyama Railway is only available when passing through the section between Takaoka Station and Toyama Station (a liner fee is required if you wish to use the Ainokaze Liner rapid train))
  ・Noto Railway (between Nanao and Wakuraonsen stations)
  ・HAPI-LINE FUKUI (between Fukui and Echizen-Hanandō)
  Pleae note.The Hokuriku Arch Pass cannot be used on the Tokaido Shinkansen. (This is because the Tokaido Shinkansen is run by another company)
  It is a personal pass meant for only one person. Always carry your passport along with the Pass. The station staff may check the passport for validity.
• 【Booking】
  With the Pass, no additional fee is required when reserving seats in Japan.(A separate fee is applicable if you wish to use the Green Car or GranClass)
  To access the platforms, show your pass and/or your ticket to the JR staff located at the gate to the platform.
  To reserve a seat, go to see the agents at the JR ticket office in Japan.
• Travel on the Haruka express to Kansai Airport is included but only non-reserved.
• The Tokaido Shinkansen is not included, this means that travelers who wish to make a return between Tokyo - Osaka/Kyoto have to travel both ways via the Hokuriku Arch, this adds a significant amount of extra travel time.
