The Philosopher's Path is a stone walkway in Kyoto that runs parallel to a canal. There are cherry blossom trees that follow the pathway providing both shade and a picturesque scene in the springtime. The path runs about 2 km long and goes up to the neighborhood of Nanzenji from Ginkakuji, the Silver Pavilion. Along the way, there are small shops and restaurants, and temples and shrines to visit as well. The Philosopher's Path is frequented by those who enjoy leisurely walks in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
